Das Buch 'Reliability Analysis of Dragline Excavator' (Zuverlässigkeitsanalyse von Schürfkübelbaggern) untersucht schwere Erdbewegungs-Schürfkübelbagger, die in mechanisierten Tagebauen Abraum abtragen. Auf der Suche nach einer effektiven Strategie wird in der Studie ein opportunistischer Instandhaltungsansatz (OM) vorgestellt, der Aufgaben der zuverlässigkeitsorientierten Instandhaltung (RBM) mehrerer, nahe beieinander liegender Teilsysteme zur gleichzeitigen Inspektion und Reparatur zusammenfasst. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die OM die Gesamtzuverlässigkeit erhöht und die Kosten senkt und einen robusten Zuverlässigkeitsmechanismus bietet. Der Ansatz ist auf Schleppschaufeln in verschiedenen Bergwerken anpassbar und stellt somit einen wertvollen Rahmen für die Verbesserung der Instandhaltungspraktiken in schweren Erdbewegungsbetrieben dar. Dieses umfassende Buch bietet praktische Einblicke und Richtlinien für Industrieingenieure, Postgraduierte und Wissenschaftler, die auf dem Gebiet der Zuverlässigkeitstechnik und Instandhaltungsoptimierung forschen.
