This memoir is my life as I have by far come to live it. I wrote it for entities who see themselves in the faces of other people, in progressive change albeit the price, because really there is so much to gain if it takes you to lose all your security to make the world a habitable place. It is not for the ones who look for assurance in the mirror.It is for for the ones who are whole because they had once shattered in pieces. This is for the little child that finds joy in being around the scent of his old grandparents, and he is in wonder and hangs on to every word that escapes their lips. Yet tender as he is, sees himself in the melting skin of his grandlove who now the community he built calls a witch. There are parts of me here that remained untold until this moment, things that my family do not know about me. But like the phoenix bird that builds a nest of wood, burns it and sits in the heart of the flames because it understands that transformation means sacrifice.
