Ochrona środowiska była jedną z najczęściej dyskutowanych kwestii w ostatnich dziesięcioleciach, ponieważ wskaźnik zanieczyszczenia wzrósł. W świetle tej obserwacji, niniejsze badanie ma na celu ocenę wpływu przemysłu ceramicznego na środowisko w mieście Barcelona w stanie Rio Grande do Norte w Brazylii. Aby to zrobić, konieczne było zdiagnozowanie sytuacji badanego przedsiębiorstwa w celu zidentyfikowania i zmierzenia potencjalnego i rzeczywistego wpływu na środowisko spowodowanego przez cały proces, wydobycie i produkcję produktu końcowego. W celu przeprowadzenia tych badań przeprowadzono eksploracyjne studium przypadku analizowanego przedsiębiorstwa.
