Wybrano dwa czynniki: gęstość inokulum M. incognita oraz dawkę stosowania P. lilacinus, aby określić skuteczność biologicznej kontroli bioagenta w stosunku do różnych poziomów nicieni węzłówkowych. Wszystkie dane zostały zebrane z pierwotnych źródeł. Wynika z nich, że P. lilacinus jest jednym z najbardziej obiecujących i praktycznych środków biologicznych do zwalczania nicieni pasożytujących na roślinach. Podjęto próbę obliczenia skuteczności biologicznej P. lilacinus zarówno w przypadku wzrostu wegetatywnego, jak i korzeni bakłażana, co stanowi współczesny krok w kierunku obliczenia skuteczności biologicznej środka biologicznego w zwalczaniu nicieni węzłówkowych bakłażana, a także innych roślin psiankowatych. Eksperyment ten został przeprowadzony w celu zastąpienia stosowania chemicznych środków nicieniobójczych grzybem nicieniowym P. lilacinus. Książka ta będzie pomocna dla badaczy zainteresowanych dziedziną biologicznego i ekologicznego zwalczania nicieni korzeniowych.
