Most often children will ask question like, why doesn’t grandma remember my name? Or why can’t grandpa remember where he puts his eyeglasses, not understanding what’s going on with their loved one, children can become quite confused.Where’s Grandma’s Keys is a story about a loved one experiencing symptoms of Alzheimer’s. Tina and her sibling spend the summer with their grandmother. Before they get to grandma’s house their parent explains to them what Alzheimer is and the symptoms of Alzheimer’s. The children come up with several creative ways to help their grandmother with tasks to help make her daily life more pleasant and comfortable. Through witty poems and hand drawn graphic art, Where’s Grandma’s Keys will help gives children and grandchildren a better understanding of what their loved ones are experiencing. Getting grandma out in the summer sun and exercise classes are just some of the things the children thought would be great for their grandmother.
