A series of short humorous stories about the life of a London Fireman and the life he led in the service. These stories are about the ’hidden’ side of the service and may come as a surprise to many.In todays ’woke’ culture many of the stories may seem out of place and some are most definitely not politically correct but the stories have been written about a period when such inhibitions were not as restricting as they are today. All the stories are true and whilst I found them to be very funny I do appreciate many would see some of the stories as childish and even dangerous. Be that as it may but it was of that era , circa 1965-1990. I was a young Fireman and life was immensely enjoyable. I loved the service and would have, had I needed to, served for little or no pay; it was that good! It gave to me everything I wanted, and needed.Discipline, danger, excitement and the greatest feeling one could possibly want from a job, complete satisfaction.
