For many years, author Autumn Carpentier has lived by the motto: Make the best of the worst. In Walking on Water, she tells how she has tried to fulfill that mantra while journeying through a host of painful experiences. Her story spans a lifetime of events from early childhood to adulthood and shows how the unconditional love of God and His unwavering grace  kept Carpentier from sinking into an abyss. She shares a host of heartbreaking moments that she had to overcome, including being uprooted from her family at an early age, surviving cancer, mourning the deaths of two brothers, and dealing with the custody loss of her own children, as well as many other battles.Walking on Water narrates her inspirational story to show others who are experiencing despair, emptiness, and unbearable sorrow that with faith in God these challenges of heartbreak can be overcome. Carpentier tells how it was much more than faith alone that helped her to survive. It was about the lifeline provided when she felt herself sinking into  life’s raging storms and the miraculous journey of rising above, to walk on water.
