Diese Studie befasst sich mit den Ergebnissen einer Untersuchung, die in ausgewählten Gemeinden des Bundesstaates Ekiti unter überwiegend kleinbäuerlichen Ackerbauern durchgeführt wurde und deren Wahrnehmung und Anpassung an den Klimawandel zum Thema hatte. Mithilfe einer mehrstufigen Stichprobenmethode wurden 135 Befragte nach dem Zufallsprinzip ausgewählt.Die Daten wurden mithilfe deskriptiver Statistiken, geordneter Logit- und multinomialer Regressionsmodelle analysiert. Die Studie ergab, dass fast alle befragten Landwirte Veränderungen des Klimas wahrnahmen. Die Ergebnisse der Faktoren, die die Wahrnehmungsentscheidungen der Landwirte beeinflussen, zeigten unter Verwendung einer geordneten Logit-Regressionsanalyse, dass Geschlecht, Alter und Bildungsniveau einen statistisch signifikanten Einfluss auf die Wahrnehmung der Landwirte hatten. Schließlich wurde ein multinomiales Logit-Regressionsmodell verwendet, um die Faktoren zu analysieren, die die Entscheidung der Landwirte für Anpassungsmaßnahmen an den Klimawandel und die Klimavariabilität beeinflussen.
