Gli autori invitano i lettori ad apprezzare il libro, in particolare i ricercatori che intendono sviluppare studi relativi alle strategie di coesistenza in ambienti con razionamento idrico ed eccesso di sali nella produzione vegetale di Girasole (Helianthus annuus L.) e Anacardium (Anacardium occidentale L.), dimostrando che è possibile coltivare le colture a patto di utilizzare tecniche di gestione adeguate.
