Este livro aborda a avaliação do sistema de vigilância das epizootias no Níger: o caso da gripe aviária. Os tipos de vigilância aplicados pela rede de vigilância epidemiológica e o método de avaliação desenvolvido pelo CDC com base na análise de atributos e, finalmente, a utilidade do sistema de vigilância das doenças animais para a saúde pública.A gripe aviária é uma doença zoonótica sob vigilância epidemiológica no Níger. O surto de 2006 levou ao abate de 19.199 aves de capoeira, com um impacto económico estimado em cerca de 20.251.344 francos CFA. Em resposta, o país adoptou um plano nacional de prevenção e resposta. Em 2022, foram registados 16 surtos de GAAP, com um total de 98 520 mortes. O objetivo do presente estudo é avaliar o sistema de vigilância epidemiológica da doença na região de Maradi.
