This is my second book. My first book was a short story book titled `After thirty years` written in Sinhala and was published in Sri Lanka. Last December, after retiring from Her Majesty`s Revenue and Customs I wanted to continue my writing which I enjoy.My father Varniel left his permanent, well paid job to be with the family, to give us the education that we deserved, but unfortnately we suffered financially later.As a young boy I witnessed small fish dropping down to our courtyard from the sky, with heavy rain. I was thrilled to catch them with my own hands, put them into a bucket of water to release them into the well, in the presence of my father.I met my lovely wife in the very first week of University to have a romantic life. I joined the Navy and enjoied the Naval life before considering leaving the country. I was in a remand prison for a crime which I did not commit.Sometimes I agree with my father`s philosophy about life. `You are born to this world and everything will happen whenever the time is right, whether you like it or not`.
