Lo scopo di questo studio è stato quello di valutare l’accuratezza delle equazioni di conicità e volume per la specie Qualea albiflora Warm. (cambará), in aree del comune di Santa Carmem, nella regione settentrionale dello stato del Mato Grosso. Cinquantotto alberi della specie sono stati rigidamente cubati per ottenere i volumi reali, utilizzando il metodo Smalian, e per adattare i modelli di conicità e volume compatibili con Schöepfer, Kozak, Hadrezky e Max & Burkhart, e il tradizionale modello di volume totale di Schumacher. L’accuratezza dei modelli testati è stata valutata utilizzando il coefficiente di determinazione aggiustato, l’errore standard della stima e l’analisi grafica dei residui. Il modello di Max & Burkhart è risultato il più accurato per descrivere la conicità e il volume compatibile della specie Qualea albiflora, mentre il modello di Schumacher è risultato abbastanza accurato per la stima del volume totale.
