Este estudo explorou a extensão e os padrões de utilização de recursos electrónicos entre os estudantes do quarto ano da Licenciatura em Ciências da Saúde Mental-Psiquiatria na Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde São João de Deus na cidade de Mzuzu. O objetivo deste estudo era avaliar o impacto dos recursos electrónicos na competência académica e clínica dos estudantes na área da enfermagem de saúde mental. Foi utilizado um modelo de investigação quantitativa, combinando inquéritos quantitativos. A população do estudo incluiu todos os estudantes de enfermagem de saúde mental do quarto ano inscritos durante o ano letivo. Os dados quantitativos foram recolhidos através de questionários, que mediram a frequência e os tipos de recursos electrónicos acedidos, para obter informações sobre as percepções e experiências dos estudantes. Os resultados preliminares indicam uma dependência significativa dos recursos electrónicos, incluindo bases de dados electrónicas, revistas electrónicas, livros electrónicos e OPAC. A maioria dos estudantes referiu utilizar recursos electrónicos para revisões da literatura, trabalhos de investigação e teses/dissertações de investigação.
