Diese Studie untersuchte das Ausmaß und die Muster der Nutzung elektronischer Ressourcen durch Studenten des vierten Studienjahres des Bachelor of Science in Mental Health-Psychiatrie am Saint John of God College of Health Sciences in Mzuzu City. Ziel dieser Studie war es, die Auswirkungen elektronischer Ressourcen auf die akademische und klinische Kompetenz der Studierenden im Bereich der psychiatrischen Krankenpflege zu bewerten. Es wurde ein quantitatives Forschungsdesign verwendet, das quantitative Erhebungen kombiniert. Die Studienpopulation umfasste alle Studierenden der psychiatrischen Krankenpflege im vierten Jahr, die während des Studienjahres eingeschrieben waren. Die quantitativen Daten wurden mit Hilfe von Fragebögen erhoben, die die Häufigkeit und die Art der Nutzung elektronischer Ressourcen erfassten, um Einblicke in die Wahrnehmungen und Erfahrungen der Studierenden zu gewinnen. Vorläufige Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass die Studierenden in erheblichem Maße auf elektronische Ressourcen wie E-Datenbanken, E-Zeitschriften, E-Books und OPAC zurückgreifen. Die Mehrheit der Studierenden gab an, elektronische Ressourcen für Literaturübersichten, Forschungsaufgaben und Forschungsarbeiten/Dissertationen zu nutzen.
