L’apprendimento mobile si riferisce ai processi di apprendimento supportati dall’uso di tecnologie mobili e wireless nel processo di insegnamento e apprendimento. Questo lavoro si propone di studiare le esperienze presenti in letteratura di utilizzo di risorse tecnologiche mobili (telefoni cellulari, tablet e simili) nell’educazione in generale, esaminando i materiali e i metodi adottati e i risultati ottenuti. Dopo aver esaminato la letteratura, è stato condotto uno studio esplorativo (interviste a coordinatori di corsi e tecnologie e questionari a studenti e docenti) con l’obiettivo di individuare quali risorse tecnologiche mobili sono state utilizzate nei corsi di laurea virtuali e per quali scopi accademici. I risultati mostrano che le università analizzate sono molto interessate ad adattare i loro materiali didattici e a sviluppare strumenti specifici per l’apprendimento mobile. I risultati ottenuti in questa ricerca potrebbero servire da supporto alle istituzioni analizzate e ad altre parti interessate, sostenendo lo sviluppo o il miglioramento delle pratiche pedagogiche che coinvolgono i dispositivi di comunicazione mobile.
