It presents views on some of the events of these years, including September 11, 2001, and the war in Iraq. The book has many details that have not appeared on the author’s Web page, including a fragment, 'In the New Payne Whitney Clinic, July 13, 2003'; a short story, 'Susan Will Adopt'; and two 'poems.'
