Il presente lavoro presenta i risultati di una ricerca condotta a Curitiba, nello Stato del Paraná (Brasile), sulla pianta rampicante Tropaeolum pentaphyllum, una pianta originaria del sud del Paese, attualmente classificata come vulnerabile nell’elenco delle piante a rischio di estinzione nello Stato del Rio Grande do Sul. Questa specie ha proprietà alimentari, medicinali e ornamentali, e quest’ultimo è lo scopo di questo studio.
