The Workshop Program of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence’s International Conference on Web and Social Media (AAAI-16) was held in Cologne, Germany. Workshops were held on the first day of the conference, Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Workshop participants met and discussed issues with a selected focus — providing an informal set- ting for active exchange among researchers, developers and users on topics of current interest. Of the 8 workshops held at the conference, organizers from 5 chose to include papers in the AAAI Technical Reports series. Those workshops are: WS-16-16: CitiLab WS-16-17: Wiki WS-16-18: News and Public Opinion WS-16-19: Social Media in the Newroom WS-16-20: Social Web for Envioronmental and Ecological Monitoring This volume contains those papers that were submitted to AAAI for publication in the AAAI Technical Report Series. 3
