The War of the Wenuses is a satirical parody of H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds, published in 1898 under the pseudonym 'Q' (later attributed to E.V. Lucas and C.L. Graves). It humorously inverts Wells’ novel by depicting an invasion of Earth by Venusian women, or 'Wenuses,' who bring their own absurd and exaggerated form of conquest.
