The Story of Frithiof is a narrative poem written by Swedish poet Esaias Tegner and published in 1872. The poem tells the story of Frithiof, a brave and heroic Viking warrior who falls in love with Ingeborg, the daughter of King Bele. Frithiof and Ingeborg’s love is forbidden by the king, and Frithiof is banished from the kingdom.
