The Club at Ibis in West Palm Beach, Florida is the home of the Ibis Authors Group, comprised of twenty authors that meet monthly to hear a guest author’s presentation and/or to share their own ideas on writing. This includes all topics that draw writers to put pen to paper: fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, essays, poetry, humor, sports, historical events ...virtually every category known to those that love reading. Most of our writers have enjoyed very successful careers in business, medicine, dentistry, law, and education, to name but a few. Now, however, they have retired from their former career and are thoroughly engrossed in writing--thus providing a 'second' career that offers enormous stimulation and great satisfaction. Although most of the Ibis Authors are self-published, some are award-winners and traditionally published One member of the Group has even had a novel made into a feature-length motion picture. We urge our readers to sit back, relax and enjoy our variety of literary topics: stories that tug at your heart; the long journey home for an airman whose B-17 bomber was shot down in World War II; hilarious humor from a 'maestro' that runs a weekly canasta game; the 'love affair' with Pickleball; beautiful poetry: and even a lesson in the art of toilet-training. Happy reading!!!
