12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.12:22 Och han sade till sina lärjungar: 'Därför säger jag eder: Bekymra eder inte för edert liv, vad I skolen äta, inte heller för eder kropp, vad I skolen klä eder med.'12:23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.12:23 Livet är mer än maten, och kroppen är mer än kläderna.12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?12:24 Se på korparna: de varken sår eller skördar, de har varken förråd eller lada, och Gud föder dem. Huru mycket mer är ni inte bättre än fåglarna!12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?12:25 Vem av er kan med bekymmer lägga en aln till sin längd?12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?12:26 Om ni då inte kan göra det minsta, varför bekymmer ni er då om det andra?12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.12:27 Se på liljorna, hur de växer: de arbetar inte, de spinner inte. Och jag säger er att Salomo i all sin härlighet inte var klädd som en av dem.12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?12:28 Om nu Gud så klär gräset som i dag står på marken och i morgon kastas i ugnen, hur mycket mer skall han då inte klä er, ni som har liten tro?12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.12:29 Och fråga inte efter vad ni skall äta eller dricka, och var inte heller osäkra.12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.12:30 Ty allt detta söka världens folk efter, och er Fader vet att ni behöver detta.
