12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.แล้วพระองค์ตรัสแก่พวกสาวกของพระองค์ว่า 'เพราะเหตุนี้เราบอกพวกท่านว่า อย่ากระวนกระวายถึงชีวิตของตนว่าจะกินอะไร และอย่ากระวนกระวายถึงร่างกายของตนว่าจะนุ่งห่มอะไร'12:23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.ชีวิตสำคัญยิ่งกว่าอาหาร และร่างกายสำคัญยิ่งกว่าเสื้อผ้า12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?จงพิจารณาดูอีกา เพราะว่ามันไม่หว่าน มันไม่เกี่ยว และมันก็ไม่มีโกดังหรือยุ้งฉาง แต่พระเจ้าทรงเลี้ยงดูพวกมัน พวกท่านทั้งหลายดีกว่านกมากยิ่งกว่าเท่าใด?12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?และใครในพวกท่านที่มีความกระวนกระวายใจ อาจต่อชีวิตของตนให้ยาวออกไปได้แม้แต่ศอกเดียว?12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายทำสิ่งเล็กน้อยที่สุดไม่ได้แล้ว เหตุใดท่านจึงกังวลถึงสิ่งอื่นๆ อีก?12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.จงพิจารณาดูดอกไม้ที่ขึ้นอยู่ตามทุ่งนาว่ามันเติบโตอย่างไร มันไม่ต้องทำงาน มันไม่ปั่นฝ้าย แต่เราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า พระเจ้าซาโลมอนเมื่อทรงมีสง่าราศีเต็มที่ ก็ไม่ได้ทรงเครื่องงามเท่าดอกไม้เหล่านี้ดอกหนึ่ง
