The Golden Gems of Life is a topical anthology of moral reflection. Throughout the hundred something articles, the authors Ferguson and Allen have distilled the thought of various sources into a kind of summary treatment of the ideas and virtues that belong to a noble and happy life. Home happiness, family relationships, business success and valuable pastimes all find a place among the subjects of this work. There is guidance for courtship and marriage, advice for the conduct of business and social affairs, and an otherwise miscellaneous collection of topics for refreshment and usefulness. The book serves to remind us of the beauty of life and the noble aspect it may take on when met in the right spirit--when with simplicity and contentment we cherish the things that matter most.----------NOTICEThis title only available fromJ. M. Page Booksellers. For the publication and sale of useful knowledge and wholesome entertainment. Please direct communications to :--pagebooksellers@gmail.comThe Golden Gems of Life was originally published in the year 1880 by the Central Publishing House of Cincinnati with copyright to its authors. Page Booksellers now has the honor of republishing it for the first time, although admittedly in a form which falls short of the craft and elegance of the original. This edition of the book is the first number to appear of a methodical series, the idea of which could not perhaps be more finely expressed than in the words of Mr. Gray, ' Rich with the Spoils of Time,' which have been taken for the purpose from his Elegy. A prospectus of the plan and list of titles that are projected to be included may be had on request to the publisher.
