As integration organisations in Central Africa are themselves restricted international organisations, they must conduct their operations in accordance with the rules and principles of international organisations. Thus, whilst the principle of equitable geographical distribution of posts is enshrined within the Central African communities, it does not necessarily guarantee effective implementation. In this regard, an examination of how the principle has been received within CEMAC in particular has revealed changes in the systems for the allocation of posts, notably following institutional reforms, but above all difficulties in implementation. Nevertheless, these obstacles do not call into question the relevance of the principle of fair allocation of posts amongst nationals of the member states of these communities. Furthermore, the post-allocation system should be improved, particularly with regard to recruitment procedures and the clarification of equity criteria, in order to achieve a fair and equitable allocation of posts amongst nationals of the member states of the organisations concerned.
