The Arthasamgraha is an elementary treatise of Mimamsa, a school of Indian philosophy that focuses on the interpretation of the Vedas. This book was written by Bhaskara, also known as Laugakshi, in 1882. The text is divided into four chapters, each of which deals with a different aspect of Mimamsa philosophy. The first chapter discusses the nature of the Vedas and their importance in Indian culture. The second chapter focuses on the rules of interpretation and how to understand the meaning of the Vedas. The third chapter examines the concept of sacrifice and its role in Indian religious practices. Finally, the fourth chapter discusses the nature of Brahman, the ultimate reality in Indian philosophy. The Arthasamgraha is considered an important text in the study of Mimamsa philosophy and is still widely read and studied today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world’s literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
