Un nouveau ligand Schiff de base (HL) dérivé de la condensation de quinoléine-2-carboxaldéhyde avec le 2-aminophénol et ses complexes de ligands mixtes de Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) et Cd(II) vis 2,2’-bipyridine/1,10-phénanthroline comme ligand secondaire ont été synthétisés et caractérisés par des analyses élémentaires, des études spectroscopiques (IR, spectres de masse, RMN 1H, UV-vis, susceptibilité magnétique et réflectance des solides), la conductance molaire, la diffraction des rayons X, la RSE et des études thermiques. Les paramètres cinétiques et thermodynamiques ont été calculés à l’aide des méthodes de Coats-Redfern et Horowitz-Metzger. De plus, le ligand à base de Schiff et ses complexes de ligands mixtes ont été testés contre des bactéries à Gram positif (Streptococcus pneumoniae et Bacillis subtilis) et des bactéries à Gram négatif (Pseudomonas aeruginosa et Escherichia coli). L’activité antifongique a été testée contre (Aspergillus fumigatus et Candida albicans). En outre, l’activité anticancéreuse du ligand à base de Schiff et de ses complexes de ligands mixtes a également été testée contre la lignée cellulaire du cancer du sein (MCF-7) et la lignée cellulaire du cancer du côlon (HCT-116).
