Une nouvelle série de dérivés carbazoles substitués a été synthétisée. Dans la première étape, le 2-Chloro-9-H-carbazole-3-carbaldéhyde est formé par la réaction de vielsmeier-Hack en présence de DMF et de POCl3. Le produit intermédiaire formé à l’aide de la réaction de Vielsmeier est ensuite traité avec une amine substituée différente pour obtenir un nouveau dérivé de carbazole fusionné avec l’amine substituée. La structure du dérivé carbazole substitué a été identifiée par chromatographie sur couche mince, FT-IR et 1H NMR. À l’aide du modèle de l’électrochoc maximal (MES), la puissance des composés synthétisés a été déterminée sur la base de leur réduction des convulsions à différents intervalles de temps. Parmi tous les composés synthétisés, le composé 4e a montré l’activité anticonvulsive maximale. Les composés 4c et 4f ont également montré une meilleure activité anticonvulsive.
