La necessità di sviluppare un’efficace strategia di marketing internazionale per l’industria turistica del Ghana è l’obiettivo di questo libro. È stato condotto uno studio che ha avuto come target i turisti afroamericani che visitano il Ghana. Lo studio ha cercato di classificare i tipi di media cartacei ed elettronici attraverso i quali gli afroamericani ottengono informazioni sui viaggi e di identificare i principali canali di distribuzione attraverso i quali questo mercato target acquista i prodotti di viaggio. Ha inoltre esaminato l’esperienza di viaggio degli afroamericani che visitano il Ghana in relazione all’organizzazione del viaggio, alle dimensioni del gruppo e alla durata del soggiorno. Lo studio ha dimostrato che il fattore motivante più forte per gli afroamericani che visitano il Ghana è il patrimonio culturale.
