Più di 25 anni fa ho trovato il materiale inerte, il silicio, per il mio esercizio terapeutico. Nella mia terapia vocale ho utilizzato con tutti i pazienti il tubo inerte palpabile, che è stato chiamato LAX VOX. Grazie al feed-back multisensoriale, i pazienti hanno capito subito e hanno provato sollievo. Hanno iniziato con entusiasmo l’allenamento quotidiano e non desideravano una terapia lunga. Sulla base delle osservazioni dei pazienti, ho composto spiegazioni in linguaggio colloquiale e illustrazioni. - La pressione orale aumenta grazie all’acqua, previene le tensioni laringee eccessive e migliora il controllo della respirazione. Il modello motorio consapevole funge da ponte verso il linguaggio ergonomico abituale. - Ho voluto testare veramente questo esercizio, chiedendo il parere dei pazienti stessi. L’efficacia della terapia vocale breve con l’ausilio del tubo LAX VOX® , 3-5 sedute, è stata testata cinque volte nel corso di un anno da due punti di vista: i profili di attivazione e partecipazione vocale e la gravità dei sintomi disfonici. I risultati mostrano miglioramenti statisticamente significativi.
