Vor mehr als 25 Jahren fand ich das inerte Material Silikon für meine Therapieübung. In meiner Stimmtherapie benutzte ich bei allen Patienten das tastbare Inertrohr, das ich LAX VOX nannte. Dank der multisensorischen Rückkopplung verstanden sie schnell und spürten Erleichterung. Sie begannen eifrig mit dem täglichen Training und wünschten keine lange Therapie. Ausgehend von den Äußerungen der Patienten verfasste ich Erklärungen in Umgangssprache und Illustrationen. - Der durch das Wasser erhöhte Munddruck verhindert übermäßige Kehlkopfverspannungen und verbessert die Kontrolle der Atmung. Das bewusste motorische Modell dient als Brücke zum gewohnten ergonomischen Sprechen. - Ich wollte diese Übung wirklich testen, indem ich die Patienten nach ihrer eigenen Meinung fragte. Die Wirksamkeit der mit dem LAX VOX®-Rohr unterstützten kurzen Stimmtherapie (3-5 Sitzungen) wurde fünfmal innerhalb eines Jahres unter zwei Gesichtspunkten getestet: dem Stimmaktivierungs- und Partizipationsprofil und dem Schweregrad der dysphonischen Symptome. Die Ergebnisse zeigen statistisch signifikante Verbesserungen.
