Celem niniejszej pracy jest przeprowadzenie badania na temat Obszarów Stałej Ochrony (PPA), z analizą zastosowaną do dorzecza strumienia São Pedro, w gminie Anhumas, São Paulo, z głównym naciskiem na identyfikację i analizę sytuacji środowiskowej PPA na tym obszarze. Badania podkreślają koncepcję Stałych Obszarów Ochrony zgodnie z Kodeksem Leśnym (ustawa 12.651/2012) i innymi środkami państwowymi, które ustanawiają te obszary i dotują ich wdrażanie. Zbadano niektóre formy ochrony środowiska istniejących PPA w regionie Pontal do Paranapanema, a także opis sytuacji wszystkich odwiedzonych punktów, w połączeniu z analizą PPA w dorzeczu strumienia São Pedro, i pokazuje scenariusz trudności w stosowaniu brazylijskiego kodeksu leśnego w dorzeczach w ogóle, takich jak brak prawidłowego wyznaczenia PPA i punktów intensywnej ingerencji antropicznej.
