L’obiettivo di questo lavoro è realizzare uno studio sulle Aree di Conservazione Permanente (APS), con un’analisi applicata al bacino del torrente São Pedro, nel comune di Anhumas, São Paulo, con l’obiettivo principale di identificare e analizzare la situazione ambientale delle APS in quest’area. La ricerca evidenzia il concetto di Aree di Conservazione Permanente secondo il Codice Forestale (Legge 12.651/2012) e altre misure statali che istituiscono queste aree e ne sovvenzionano l’attuazione. Sono state rilevate alcune forme di conservazione ambientale delle APS esistenti nella regione di Pontal do Paranapanema, oltre a una descrizione della situazione di tutti i punti visitati, unita a un’analisi delle APS nel bacino del torrente São Pedro, e mostra uno scenario di difficoltà nell’applicazione del Codice Forestale brasiliano nei bacini fluviali in generale, come l’incapacità di delimitare correttamente le APS e i punti di intensa interferenza antropica.
