Das Gesetz gibt den Tagelöhnern die Macht, für ihr Recht auf den ihnen zustehenden Lohn zu kämpfen, und ist nicht nur ein Mittel, um den Menschen soziale Sicherheit zu bieten, sondern auch eine Möglichkeit, die allgemeine Entwicklung der Gemeinschaft zu fördern und das Machtgleichgewicht in der ländlichen Gesellschaft zu verändern.In Anbetracht dieser Tatsachen wurde eine Studie mit dem Titel 'Sozioökonomische Auswirkungen des Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act Programme auf die Begünstigten im Distrikt Banaskantha im Bundesstaat Gujarat' durchgeführt.
