One day it hit me like a bolt of lightening, that God is my Father. Furthermore He is a perfect parent. And as I began reflecting on my parents, I realized that there were some things I did not have to ask them for because they were my parents and they knew I had need of these things. They were given without me even asking. Then it dawned on me my parents learned to be parents from God who is the ultimate parent and their Creator. In addition to what they received from their parents there were some innate parenting they received from God. There were some things I did not have to ask my parents for when I was growing up and there are some things if I go home today still don’t have to ask for, especially food. They see it as their duty to provide for us their children and without even asking at times. I believe that God does the same thing too, because He said in Matthew 6:33 if we seek Him and His Kingdom first, then He will give us food, clothing, and shelter. He said these are things the Gentiles seek after. Then the disciple Peter reminded me, 'According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness..For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:3 and 8). God has deposited in us all we need to be successful in life. Our problem is we do not understand it is in seed form. It is our responsibility to cooperate with God in germinating and getting these fruit trees to bring forth much fruit.
