This book gives you a new perspective on life. It has articles you will want to read a second time. Our beginning was as students in the Rev. Robert Franklin Spencer’s class 'The Pen and the Power.' Unwilling to give up this experience the Advanced Writers Workshop was born to continue our development and support one another. We began with a college English teacher.submarine captain.airplane pilot instructor; a homemaker with imagination; and continued with a policeman turned detective; two retired Special Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, U.S. Treasury Department; an editor who operated her own thesis editing business; a woman with an extensive modeling career; two registered nurses; a licensed mental health therapist and hypnotherapist; two former school superintendents; an airline pilot; an editor of a trade magazine; a service engineer and dozens more. These people have published and are publishing their own books, articles, and poems. literary awards and prizes grace their walls and their files. It happened by accident. Somehow these people found themselves bound together with a love of writing.'I didn’t write anything today but I wanted to come because the group is so much fun.''This sure is a talented group.''I miss it in the summer when we don’t meet.''I’m sure glad I came today. That was one of the best meetings yet.''I laughed most of my way through the morning.''This group has helped me a great deal.''I look forward to our meetings.'We hope this book enriches your life and inspires you to put your thoughts on paper.
