L’Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) è emersa come una promettente tecnica di modulazione per la trasmissione di dati ad alta velocità nei moderni sistemi di comunicazione wireless. Tuttavia, la presenza di un elevato rapporto potenza media-picco (PAPR) rimane una sfida significativa nei sistemi OFDM, che porta a un’amplificazione di potenza inefficiente e a un potenziale degrado del segnale. Per affrontare questo problema, il presente lavoro presenta un approccio innovativo per ridurre il PAPR nei sistemi OFDM utilizzando schemi di Sequenza di Trasmissione Parziale (PTS) con codifica a fontana. I codici Fountain, noti per la loro efficiente resistenza alla cancellazione e per la decodifica a bassa complessità, sono incorporati nella struttura PTS per migliorare le capacità di riduzione del PAPR. L’implementazione proposta sfrutta il parallelismo intrinseco della codifica Fountain per generare in modo efficiente un insieme diversificato di sequenze candidate, contribuendo a mitigare il degrado delle prestazioni legato al PAPR senza introdurre un significativo overhead computazionale. Il rapporto conduce una valutazione completa delle prestazioni degli schemi PTS con codifica Fountain attraverso ampie simulazioni in vari scenari OFDM, tra cui velocità di trasmissione dei dati, condizioni del canale e dimensioni della costellazione.
