L’Autriche dispose d’un réseau dense d’établissements médicaux dont les services de santé sont accessibles 24 heures sur 24. Cette disponibilité permanente et la fluctuation de la charge de travail représentent un défi majeur pour le personnel et la direction des services d’urgence, par exemple. Dans ce contexte, la mise en place d’un outil fiable est nécessaire pour gérer l’afflux de patients et hiérarchiser ce groupe de clients en fonction de l’urgence de leurs symptômes. Le service des urgences de la clinique universitaire de pédiatrie et de médecine juvénile de l’hôpital général de Vienne a décidé de mettre en place le système britannique de triage de Manchester. Dans le cadre de la présente étude, la satisfaction des patients à l’égard de ce système a été évaluée.
