O presente trabalho é uma tentativa de compreender as complexidades de uma relação comunitária numa área em conflito armado. O presente trabalho foi realizado no estado de Jammu e Caxemira, com foco especial no distrito de Rajouri, que é uma área da Linha de Controlo com a Caxemira ocupada pelo Paquistão. O estudo examina o impacto sociopolítico do conflito armado, bem como o impacto das estratégias estatais de contra-insurgência na vida comum. Ele também examina as relações inter e intracomunitárias em uma zona de conflito. O presente trabalho tentou explorar como as pessoas em uma zona de conflito têm complexidades e como as relações baseadas nessas complexidades podem ser compreendidas juntamente com a linha religiosa. Ele também examinou o papel do Estado e de outras organizações nas relações comunitárias dessas áreas e como eles responderam para lidar com tais complexidades.
