Esta selección reúne relatos que transcurren en lugares considerados exóticos y que son abordados bajo una fascinante mirada orientalista. Un epílogo crítico contextualiza a este grupo de provocadoras escritoras que desafiaron las normas sociales y fueron por ello vinculadas al decadentismo literario. Esta antología demuestra cómo las Nuevas Mujeres anticiparon algunas de las preocupaciones e innovadoras texturas estilísticas del modernismo, por lo que sus cuentos cobran renovada relevancia e interés para lectores actuales.’
