Utilizando o sistema de classificação de doenças, 100 genótipos de feijão-mungo foram testados no terreno quanto à resistência à doença do mosaico amarelo durante o Rabi 2021-2022. A doença do mosaico amarelo foi resistente a 49 dos 100 genótipos de feijão-mungo, moderadamente resistente a 22, moderadamente suscetível a 11, suscetível a 3 e altamente suscetível a 15 dos genótipos. De acordo com os resultados da ferramenta BLAST, o vírus sequenciado tem uma semelhança de 98,94% com toda a sequência de codificação do gene da proteína de revestimento MYMIV-Mb02 (AV1) da estirpe do vírus do mosaico amarelo do feijão-mungo da Índia, número de acesso GQ387502.1. Consequentemente, a variante recebeu o número de acesso ON622515.1 e foi designada por mungbean yellow mosaic India virus isolates NAU-RJ coat protein gene segment. No presente estudo, foram estudados seis isolados resistentes (40 C, NMS-21-01, NMS-21-06, NMS-21-22, NMS-21-49, NMS-21-95) e seis altamente susceptíveis (GM 4, NMS-21-23, NMS-21-24, NMS-21-40, NMS-21-68, NMS-21-69). Foram utilizados nove pares de iniciadores RGA para rastrear seis genótipos resistentes e seis susceptíveis de feijão-mungo. O resultado foi a amplificação efectiva de cinco pares de iniciadores RGA em todos os genótipos resistentes, mas não em todos os genótipos altamente susceptíveis.
