En él Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) hizo frente al fanatismo y la superstición, realizando la propuesta de que cada cual ha de acostumbrarse a pensar por sí mismo, según su propia razón, sin aferrarse puerilmente a la cómoda tutela de los prejuicios y dogmas del momento.
