Des couches minces de Cu/ZnS ont été déposées avec succès par la méthode de dépôt par bain chimique en utilisant l’acétate de zinc et l’acétate de cuivre comme source de Zn+2 et de Cu+2. Les films minces Cu/ZnS ont été déposés sur des substrats en verre. Les films déposés ont été caractérisés à l’aide du spectromètre UV-vis JENWAY. Les bandes interdites optiques des films Cu/ZnS ont été caractérisées à l’aide de la relation de Tauc et ont été évaluées à 3,24 eV. La transmittance des films a également été observée comme étant élevée (environ 60 %). Les films présentent également un pic d’absorption maximal à 0,20 au (20 %). Les résultats de l’analyse ont montré que le Cu/ZnS peut être utilisé dans des applications optoélectroniques, des capteurs, des LED, des cellules solaires, etc.
