A programação neuro-linguística (PNL) é uma abordagem pseudo científica da comunicação, desenvolvimento pessoal e psicoterapia, que apareceu pela primeira vez no livro de Richard Bandler e John Grinder de 1975. A Estrutura da Programação Mágica I. NLP afirma que existe uma ligação entre processos neurológicos (neuro-), linguagem (linguística) e padrões de comportamento adquiridos (programação), e que estes podem ser alterados para atingir objectivos específicos na vida. De acordo com Bandler e Grinder, a PNL pode tratar problemas como fobias, depressão, distúrbios de tiques, doenças psicossomáticas, miopia, alergia, a constipação comum, e distúrbios de aprendizagem, frequentemente numa única sessão. Alegam também que a PNL pode 'modelar' as competências de pessoas excepcionais, permitindo que qualquer pessoa as adquira.
