O livro forneceu informações sobre as boas práticas agrícolas (BPA) da cebola (Allium cepa [L.]) nas regiões tropicais, onde há um aumento da procura e um prémio elevado para a cultura, mas onde os baixos rendimentos e as más práticas pós-colheita resultam num prazo de validade curto, na diminuição da qualidade dos bolbos e num enorme desperdício. Um ensaio de campo da estação seca realizado em dois locais no Estado de Bauchi, na Nigéria, com quatro níveis de fornecimento de N e P, com um desenho de blocos completamente aleatórios (RCBD) dispostos num esquema 4 x 4 x 3, foi utilizado para testar a produtividade da cebola na zona. Considerando que a capacidade de armazenamento dos bolbos se seguiu à colheita nos dois locais. Os bolbos foram agrupados e agrupados por tratamento, dos quais 10 bolbos por tratamento foram selecionados aleatoriamente e colocados em regimes de armazenamento fora do chão e no chão num armazém durante 12 semanas sob RCBD com padrões 4 x 4 x 2 x 3. Os dados recolhidos foram analisados utilizando a versão 11 do Minitab.
