Man kann den Meinungsstreit deshalb noch nicht als beendet ansehen. Zweifellos ist jedoch der neue Standpunkt fruchtbarer. Man konnte uns ent­ gegenhalten, daB zwar Eruptionen sowie Zerfalls-und Expansionsprozesse tat­ sachlich eine groBe Rolle im Weltall spielen und der neue Standpunkt nur deshalb fruchtbar war, weil er ihnen besondere Aufmerksamkeit schenkte, daB aber diese Prozesse nicht das Wesentliche der Evolution beinhalten. Ein solcher Einwand erscheint uns gekiinstelt. In dieser Zeit wurde die Astronomie urn eine Vielzahl von neuen Fakten bereichert, welche im direkten Zusammenhang mit den Problemen der Kosmogo­ nie stehen. Vor allem erweiterte sich unser Wissen tiber die aktiven Kerne der Galaxien, tiber MAB,KARJAN-Galaxien und tiber die ZwrcKyschen Kompakt­ galaxien. Wir besitzen neue erstaunliche Fakten tiber 'eruptive' Sterne. Es wurden die Pulsare entdeckt. Diese Fakten haben eine groBe Bedeutung fUr die Losung der Frage nach dem Schicksal der beiden Richtungen in der gegenwartigen Kosmogonie - der klassi­ schen und der in Bjurakan verfolgten Richtung.
