Ce travail s’inscrit dans le cadre d’une étude plus vaste visant à améliorer les connaissances sur l’écologie de Prioria oxyphylla, espèce tropicale à haute valeur commerciale et culturelle. Souscrit dans le contexte de réunir les informations fiables sur la structure spatiale et régénération naturelle de Prioria oxyphylla dans la region de Kisangani (forêts de Yangambi et de Uma). La méthodologie utilisée était seule de l’inventaire systématique sur une superficie de 10 ha dans chaque site et tous les pieds de l’espèce concernée de Dhp ≥ 10 cm, étaient localisés par rapport aux axes de X et Y. En termes de résultat, 4 401 individus d’arbres ont été inventoriés à Uma, soit une moyenne de 440,1 individus par hectare, et 3 799 individus d’arbres à Yangambi, soit une moyenne de 379,9 individus par hectare, et cela suivi d’une densité moyenne de 2,5 et 2 pieds de Prioria oxyphylla à Uma et Yangambi qui présentent deux structures spatiale respectivement : agrégée et aléatoire. Les régénérats sont presents dans tous les stades de croissance avec une diminution des effectifs en passant de la première classe d’hauteur (S1) à la deuxième et à la troisième classes.
