Ce livre est un travail de recherche dans le domaine de la protection des cultures. Il décrit la présence du cowpea mild mottle virus (CPMMV) et d’autres virus (Cowpea aphid-borne mosaic virus [CABMV] et Cucumber mosaic virus [CMV]) qui infectent le niébé (Vigna unguiculata, L) dans l’ouest du Kenya. Il décrit également les résultats du test de sélection variétale pour la résistance au CPMMV et les caractéristiques biologiques des isolats du CPMMV de l’ouest du Kenya. L’étude a été réalisée par le biais d’une enquête et d’une détection en laboratoire des virus par DAS-ELISA. Le travail a été financé par la fondation McKnight et la Commission nationale pour la science, la technologie et l’innovation (NACOSTI - Kenya).
