O fósforo (P) é um nutriente importante para o crescimento das plantas. No entanto, as aplicações excessivas de P nos solos agrícolas aumentam a perda deste elemento através do escoamento superficial, contribuindo para a eutrofização da água. Assim, é importante conhecer melhor a variabilidade espacial (VS) do P disponível para as culturas, de modo a melhorar a utilização económica dos fertilizantes fosfatados e a sustentabilidade da exploração agrícola, reduzindo as perdas de P. O objetivo geral desta tese de doutoramento foi avaliar a VS do P disponível no solo em diferentes agro-ecossistemas (prados jovens (JP) vs prados velhos (AP) e lavoura convencional (CT) vs sementeira direta (DS)) utilizando ferramentas estatísticas e geoestatísticas para recomendações agro-ambientais em agricultura de precisão.
