I am 55 years old as I write this, and have been Christian for a number of years. However, although I have read the words of Jesus Christ in the 25th chapter of Matthew on numerous occasions, it was not until earlier this year that those words had an impact on me that appears to have altered the course of my life. Forgive me if it is presumptuous of me to say so, but my impression is that too many Christians do not take those words seriously, when they really should. My hope is that through this anthology, and by other means, I might help to impress upon you the need to take Him seriously, and the blessing that results in taking Him seriously, and to do what He said we should do.These verses are the best I have to offer. I hope they uplift, inspire, encourage, and amuse. I titled the volume Poems and Songs for Christ because 100% of the royalties and/or profits from the sale of this work will be donated to End Starvation Foundation, Inc, who will use all of that to feed starving widows and orphans, following the injunction of our Lord to visit them in their distress (James 1:27, Ephesians 2:10, Hebrews 13:16, Matthew 25:31-46). But I will go out on a limb and say that many of the poems are even good.
